Can you be religious and not attend Church?

Many times, we hear people saying (as an example) "I am a Catholic but don't go to Church". How important is Church attendance to your religion and spirituality?

RE: Can you be religious and not attend Church?

I don't think going to church is necessary unless you feel the need to. However, a lot of religious groups frown upon that and claim that you must go to church. I don't feel much benefit from attending church, therefore I don't do it. But I still believe in God and follow my religious beliefs except that it's a combination of what's in the bible and my own insights.
