New monarchy laws?
The UK parliament is discussing plans with Buckingham Palace to institute changes in the 300-year old laws regarding inheritance. Amongst the issues are equal rights of women to inherit based on primogeniture rather than male prominence. The other major issue is whether the heir can marry a Catholic. Seems both issues have discrimination written on them, but there are some concerns regarding the Catholic issue, which may not pass. I think women should have equal rights and the heir should be allowed to marry Catholics. Wonder how others feel?
