Online Videos Limited
The Chinese government has limited the access to online videos to only websites controlled by them.
So this means websites that are run by individuals and other companies not controlled by the government will not be accessible to the Chinese public. Internet censoring is not new in China at all, but it's getting worse and worse. First they blocked specific types of websites, now they're manipulating what kind of videos people can watch. Luckily I don't live in China, and to those that do live there I'm sure someone will find a way to bypass the system, but unfortunately they probably have consequences for those that get caught doing so. It's frightening that such a thing is occurring.. Source “There is nothing permanent except change.†- Heraclitus of Ephesus |

RE: Online Videos Limited
Pakistan (along with Thailand and Turkey) also recently blocked YouTube for alleged offenses against Islam so it seems like this sort of censoring is spreading. With so many possibilities for circumventing these blocks, are they futile?
