Overdue books returned 50 years late - with $1,000 to cover fines
An Arizona person returns two library books to their former school - with a $1,000 (?600) cheque to cover overdue fees incurred over 50 years.

Arrgh I hate overdue fees.. once a friend of mine borrowed a book from me and then went on holiday, and when she came back from it I ended up having to pay the overdue fees. I think they should put a limit to these things. I mean how many of that book can you buy with $1,000? Plenty!
