Some supermarkets in my town are now charging for plastic bags - the idea is for people to stop using them, and go for alternatives... I don't know how I feel about this, I generally use those plastic bags to put garbage in, so even if I stop getting plastic bags from supermarkets, I'll be buying garbage bags from the supermarket instead, and using fabric bags which will need to be replaced frequently as I tend to get a lot of spills in my supermarket bags. I just don't see the point. Isn't there a better alternative? I think it is much easier to recycle plastic bags than it is to recycle fabric bags.
